Bait fishing on the lake has been outstanding on most days. Limits of fish have been constant and they are fat and full of fight. Very few small fish being caught. We have been making a pretty long run to get these bigger fish. The fish want big gizzard shad and the bigger the better. threadfins are not doing nearly as well. Most of our fish have been taken in 30 feet of water the past couple weeks with a few days producing fish down 40 feet in 50 feet of water. The shallower fish have been the better fish by far for us lately. Some monster sand bass along with a few blue cats are usally in the box at days end as well. The lure bite has been pretty tough lately with the winning lures being wildeyes and yellow horsehead jigs in 3/4 oz. with a white trailer fished on the rocks close to deep water.
